AllergySafe app for iPhone and iPad

AllergySafe is a mobile application that allows you to choose from a list of 7 of the most common food allergens, create your profile, and find safe to eat foods at several of the most common restaurant chains.

To start with, you set up your profile, and you can select what you are allergic to. Upon completing your profile, you can browse through several restaurants, view their complete menus, and based on which allergens you saved in your personal profile, you can see only the foods safe for you to eat. You can also search for restaurants near your location.

Note that certain foods may be processed in the same factory as a certain allergen, or there may be some risks of allergen cross-contamination. Some examples of this potential allergen mixing include, but are not limited to: shared fryers, cutting utensils, oils, and other manufacturing equipment. However, AllergySafe takes this into account, and all foods with such constraints will be shown with asterisks (*).
